Our suits are sold as a set of jacket and pants. The best way to select a size is by the jacket size not by pant size. This is because jackets are very difficult to alter while pants are very easy to alter.
Pants will typically be 6” smaller than the jacket. This is called a "drop". If you see a suit size 46R, that will come with pants with a waist size of 40".
A 6 inch drop is considered industry standard. Keep in mind most suits require some sort of alterations. Needing to alter the waist size on the suit pants is very common. There is usually enough fabric in the pants for a tailor to let them out up to 2 inches. Most pants can be taken in up to 4 inches without hindering the look of the pants. Unless otherwise stated in the description, all our suit pants are unhemmed. The unhemmed length of the pants is about 38-39 inches.
